Yes. I was very disappointed with my mother today, but very proud of myself. 8D

We went school clothes shopping, which I was no longer in the mood for after being in a world of depression beforehand -.-;, and everything was turning out good... until we left Marshall's. My mom was looking over the receipt like she usually does and she was very confused from what I could tell. I asked her multiple times 'Can I see it?' and she would keep telling me 'No.'

I knew my mom was being dishonest about something and I was sure I knew what it was. I saw the receipt from a distance (Hooray for glasses! 8D) and noticed that there were only SIX items on the receipt while we actually purchased SEVEN. I bothered my mother the entire time to let me see the reciept and she constantly refused to hand it over.

I told her I KNEW there was something bad about the receipt because she wouldn't let me see it (I mean, honestly! It's a reciept!). She said that is was actually 'a good thing' and she finally told me that the lady didn't 'ring up' one of the items. She showed me the reciept (not for long I might add) and I finally said 'You see? Was that so hard?'. She stayed quiet.

We walked into Kohl's and I was really bothered by my mother's dishonesty. After 2 minutes of being in the store, I finally walked up to my mother and flat out told her that we're going back to Marshall's and she is GOING to pay for that item. She was very quiet. We both knew that if I wasn't there, she would've just gone home without a care.

After Kohl's, she drove us back to Marshall's and this kind elderly woman (named Sandy XD) helped us with the clothing. I stood there listening to my music (and also listening to the conversation). Sandy praised my mother for being 'so honest', but my mother stayed quiet. She didn't thank her or anything. Just simple silence.

Before leaving Marshall's, Sandy said to my mother 'Thank you again for being so honest. The world needs more people like you.' My mother said nothing again and we walked out of Marshalls... and she hugged me. o.o She said how proud she was of me and blah blah blah.


8D Looking back at this journal, that's a pretty long explanation of what happened, but I feel pretty good about myself.

I finished reading the Odyssey: Good book but also boring. 8D
Neopets is having another lame event again.
The chances of moving to California have lowered.
My mom got mad at me for staying up so late at night.
I got another lecture about stalkers on the web.
I explained to my mother what 'anime' is. (She probably STILL doesn't get it)
I tried to explain to a Chinese person (*cough* Emily *cough*) what 'aru' is. -.-;
Aaannnddd.... I think that's it.
